Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a small, little town that is a bit sleepy. People unfamiliar with the term frequently think that it's a separate island somewhere in the west of Montreal but in fact the West Island is home to everything from the Lachine city. Lachine west. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on the West Island. However, it's not the case. Brugel lived in Courtice close to Oshawa. She initially wanted to become an actress, but after a sudden expansion, she and her partner could no longer dance with her. A Toronto Star article revealed she's six feet tall, with heels. After I outgrew the male counterparts, I gave up. The Brugel is one of the former dancers who turned into acting. Her high school teacher school was what pushed her into the right direction. Teacher who recommended she try to get a role for school's annual play. Following a trial the role, she was chosen as the leading lady for Anne of Green Gables. It led to a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship at York University where she attended the Theater Program and graduated with the Bachelor in Fine Arts degree in the year 2000. Through the years since, Brugel has been offered roles in over 60 shows on both small and large screens, attracting the greatest attention when she landed the character of Rita on the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale (pictured below). Brugel played the role of the character of Rita on The Handmaid's tale, a series that was filmed over ten years ago.
